Who this is for

You're an attorney with a case that turns, in part or in whole, on what happened inside a Google Ads account. Maybe it's a client suing their former agency over wasted spend, mismanaged campaigns, or conversion data that didn't match the invoices. Maybe it's a contract dispute where the standard of care is at issue. Maybe it's a fraud case where you need someone who can read the change history and tell a jury what actually happened in plain English.

The problem you're running into: most people who know Google Ads can run an account. Far fewer can articulate what they did and why under direct, cross-examination, and a judge asking questions in real time.

What I do

I take on a limited number of cases per year as an SME and expert witness. The work usually involves some mix of:

  • Account analysis. Reviewing the account at issue, the change history, the conversion tracking setup, the campaign structure, the keyword and audience targeting, and the reporting that was provided to the client.
  • Written expert reports. A clear, defensible written opinion on what was done, what should have been done, and what the difference between the two cost the plaintiff.
  • Standard of care opinions. What a reasonably competent Google Ads professional would have done in the same situation. Useful in agency malpractice and similar disputes.
  • Depositions and testimony. Available if the case gets there, though most engagements wrap at the written deliverable stage. I can speak to the material in plain language if it does go further.
  • Rebuttal. Reviewing the opposing expert's report and identifying where their analysis is wrong, incomplete, or technically off.

I've been in the Google Ads and PPC agency space since 2016. I've worked with more than 30 agencies and across over 1,000 accounts, from small local budgets to accounts spending millions, across home services, professional services, B2B, healthcare, and several other verticals. I've trained people who have never opened an ad account and coached experts with more than a decade of experience. That breadth is the foundation behind the standard of care opinions — I've seen what good and bad work actually looks like inside accounts of every shape and size.

I'm not a forensic accountant. I'm not a digital marketing generalist. I'm specifically deep on Google Ads, on agency operations, and on what good versus bad work looks like inside a paid search account.

Rates

$350 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments. Retainer required for new engagements. Standard expert witness terms.

I'll send a fee schedule and engagement letter after our intake call.

Conflicts

I'll run a conflict check before accepting any engagement. If I've previously worked with the agency, vendor, or platform team at issue, I'll disclose it and we'll decide together whether it disqualifies me.
